Get The Look: Disney Princess Inspired: Cinderella

Lindy Bop Aqua Marianne twin set (£55.00)
Silver Strappy Heeled Sandals (£22.49)
Irregular Choice Faith In Dreams Shoes (£130.00)
Debut Grey oversized clutch back (£25.00)
Black skinny lace choker (£3.99)

The 2nd post of this character inspired series...Cinderella has always been one of my favourite Disney princesses, it was this outfit that inspired me to start this mini series. This gorgeous blue dress which comes with a small jacket making it suitable for both day and night. If your a Disney fanatic and have a few extra pennies in the bank then the Cinderella Irregular Choice heels are the ones to wear, they don't necessarily match perfectly with the rest of this outfit but I couldn't not include them and I hope you can see why. If not then the simple silver sandals paired up with the silver clutch. If you were firstly thrown by the choker included in this outfit - something that is typically not considered very princess like then you shall see that Cinderella does in fact wear something around her neck. I believe it to be a navy blue ribbon but I felt that the lacy black choker was much more modern and in fashion.

There won't be a post this weekend or next week as I am away in Italy for a week so expect lots of holiday pics when I get back!!!

Get The Look: Disney Princess Inspired: Belle

Dress - Yumi Lacy Dress (£37.00)
Shoes - Tan Suede Tie Up Mini Block Heels (£34.99)
Handbag - Tassel Saddle Bag (£16.00)

I wanted to do something a bit different for this post and it is going to turn into a bit of a series...every Wednesday for the next few of weeks I am going to post a character inspired get the look. Starting off this series I present to you Belle from Beauty and the Beast...

Belle, throughout the movie wears a white and blue outfit she is most known for her golden ball gown. This outfit is more suited to an every day look, I decided not to include any jewellery because of the high neckline and the brown belt across the middle. The choose the brown saddle bag because I felt that it best represented her home village, it looks handmade, its got that sort of natural rustic feel to it and its not over the top with its embellishments.

I did also fall in love with a dress that is more suited to the evening which is in the image below. This dress is almost a shorter modern version of the one Belle wears in the movie.

Film Review: Disorder

So I have just got back from seeing Disorder at the cinema as part of the Odeon's Screen Unseen , it isn't officially released in the UK until the 25th March however the internet tells me that it was shown at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival under the name Maryland. I would describe it as being a Suspense Thriller French Film that follows an ex-soldier (Matthias Schoenaerts) who is suffering from PTSD who is hired to protect the wife (Diane Kruger) and child of a wealthy Lebanese business man. The film is only 100 minutes long and the audio is all in French with English subtitles but if you can look past that you will find that it is a really gripping film so I advise that you give it a chance as it has quite a slow start which looking back is kind of needed so that you can fully take in the paranoia that this man experiences.

Happy Singles Day!

For all you single ladies out there on Valentines Day don't fret because as someone who is also single and alone on Valentines day with all my friends in relationships meaning they are busy on Valentines day I have the perfect day planned for you as it is now unofficially being named Singles Day!!! To start this post I am going to say though...whys it bad to be single on a day that is created through commercialism? Its just like any other day of the week except people have decided to spend their day with their partners as if it is an unspoken rule on this one day of the year.

1- The morning...lie in then get up, cook yourself a full english breakfast...I'm talking eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and toast then put on a face of makeup and go for a long refreshing walk ideally you would have a dog in this situation because you can always rely on a dog to give you a lot of love or go to the gym because fitness makes everyone feel better about themselves.

2- After your walk you should come home and have a long relaxing bath with bubbles and candles whilst watching your favourite television series (recommendations include Pretty Little Liars, Teen Wolf, The 100 and Vampire Diaries up until season 3) avoid anything that includes a large amount of romance!

3- Then change into your cosiest outfit or pjs and continue binge watching whilst wearing a face mask (my favourite is the body shop warming mineral mask)

4- Order takeout

5- Bake something delicious such as cupcakes or brownies you could share any leftovers with your friends the next day

You could include buying something online as a treat for yourself...it doesn't have to be expensive I feel like it'd be safe to stick to under £50 because you have to learn to love yourself and under all costs AVOID INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TWITTER AND ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA think of it as a detox day.

Top 12 Favourite Movies

The best way to watch a movie is when your sat wrapped in a duvet, after having taken a bath with a face mask on your face, some candles lit, a bowl of popcorn in your hands and joined by the company of friends. As a Media student a lot of people are surprised when I turn around and say that I haven't watched Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings and most other major films that everyone expects me to have seen! Truth be told I'm not the biggest movie lover, I watch a lot of them but there aren't many that I can watch more than once and I would much rather indulge myself in a TV series, on that note here is a list of my movie recommendations in no particular order...

1- Inside Out
Ok so this one is potentially a bit of a cheat because I only finally got round to watching it very recently but when I did it gave me a warm bubbly feeling inside that took me back to when I was a child. Imagination land and the character Bing Bong is just the best thing ever, I found myself sat there with a huge grin on my face. I however love this movie because it is one of the first movies in a longtime that has been made without some form of romance in it and it is just a nice happy story...yes it is a kids movie but for anyone over the age of 16 with a heart I advise you give it a go.

2- Twilight
People can say what they want but even though I haven't watched them in a while, since the Twilight Saga movies came out I have had a number of movie marathons with them because I just love the story and the romance to a point where I became overly emotional and attached to some of the characters.

3- That Awkward Moment
New to me again with this movie but I love that its a rom-com from a man's perspective and rather than a romance that 'every girl dreams about' type movie that we are all use to we see it from three lads perspectives. When Jason (Zac Efron) convinces Ellie, a girl with an alternative style to hook up with him he only had intentions to sleep with her one night and then not hear from her again after making an agreement with his mates that they were all going to stay single after one of them goes through a divorce.

4- Mary Poppins / Saving Mr Banks
I put these two films together because if you have seen one then you have to watch the other! I'm sure most of us have because if you didn't know Saving Mr Banks is an endearing Disney movie about the author of Mary Poppins, P.L. Travers and how Mary Poppins was turned into a film much against her wishes. Both movies are two of my favourite movies that I would recommend to anyone, they give me that warm fuzzy feeling and many emotions, I also can't resist foot tapping along to the songs. My favourite scene is when Walt Disney walks into the room to find Dom playing Feed The Birds which is strange considering it is my least favourite tune from Mary Poppins.

5- Tangled
I watched Frozen before watching Tangled and thought it was alright but not brilliant then a housemate convinced me to watch Tangled which I did and I fell in love with it! A sucker for Disney movies already but I can't resist watching this movie as a result of the song and scene for 'I See The Light'. Once you watch it I am also sure that you will agree that even though he is an animated character, Flynn Ryder is gorgeous!

6- The Hunger Games
Another movie series that I am sure most of you will have seen but I really enjoy watching these films, not often but just every now and then because I love Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss and I can't wait for Mockingjay P2 to come out on DVD.

7- Notting Hill
Sucker for a good romance! This is a slightly older movie in comparison to some of the rest I think it was made in 1999 when Hugh Grant had flawless skin and a floppy haircut to match. Theres not much more I can say about this because it is honestly your typical rom-com but its a really good one.

8- The Holiday
This is a really cute film about two women swapping lives when they both find themselves in a bad situation and needing a break, both in fact running away from love. Spoiler alert they both end up with someone! A great movie to watch at Christmas but saying that why can't we watch Christmas movies all year round?!

9- Love Actually
We've all seen it, we all love it, I watch it on repeat with a box of tissues (if you can't tell then I am a sucker for romance and an emotional person).

10- The First Time
Shoutout to Dylan O'Brien for this one! You may have heard of him, he's best known for his appearance in The Maze Runner series, I found him in Teen Wolf and fell in love with his character resulting with me spending a day watching everything he has ever been in which isn't much but now that he has been in The Maze Runner I hope that he gets noticed and given some big parts in some major movies! A Teen Rom-Com following two slightly frustrated teenagers who are curious about romance, love and sex, not on the same level as movies like Love Actually or just anything with Hugh Grant in but it is a really cute film.

11- Pitch Perfect
Love a musical movie, If I am honest I watch these movies purely for the music, the storyline is also good and very funny but who can resist joining in with their own bit of acapella whilst watching from home!

12- Footloose
Not the 1984 version with Kevin Bacon but the 2011 adaption with Kenny Wormald. Its a musical, its a romance and if you haven't already gathered after reading this post then this is my kind of thing all over.

Winter has come early!

If, like me you also live in the UK then I am sure that you will agree with me when I say that Summer practically never happened and that Autumn and on some days Winter has come early. Now again, if your from the UK you'll also know that Autumn/Winter is nothing like what you see on Pinterest, yes the leaves fall from the trees and the air becomes incredibly cold but that also comes with rain and the only snow being a thin sludgy layer, practically like walking in a giant slushie. The best part of these cold months are the duvet days when you spend your time sat in front of the television watching films and back to back episodes of your favourite shows.

Here is a list of some of my favourite movies (Yes most of them are chick flicks)...

1- Love Actually

This is one of my favourites and I could happily watch it on repeat for hours (and not without getting emotional). Following the lives of a number of people, all of whom are linked somehow; each person's story displaying a different definition of love. A lonely prime-minister falling in love with his secretary, a recently divorced writer who finds love on a break away, a man who is in love with his best friends wife and many others.

2- The Twilight Saga
Like Marmite, you either love it or hate it and I can honestly say I love the Twilight movies. When a human and a vampire falls in love, they fight against the vampire leaders to save their relationship..I personally favour the first (Twilight) and the last two (Breaking Dawn P1 & P2) however the last two are simply from a media students POV.

3- Saving Mr Banks
How could I not include a Disney movie in my list! Saving Mr Banks follows the story of how Mary Poppins went from book to screen whilst finding out about the childhood of author P.L. Travers. This movie is one of my favourites because...Tom Hanks (no more needs saying) and I love the music that accompanies such a magical story and I love Mary Poppins.

4- The One Direction Concert DVD(s).

I guess you could say they are technically not movies, well except 'This Is Us' but there is something about seeing your favourite band performing live, almost as if you are re-living the experience of being in a crowded audience all going crazy to your favourite songs.

TV Shows

1- Teen Wolf
An American TV show that started off with teenage boy 'Scott' being bitten by a werewolf. Things start to happen in town including more teenagers turning into different supernatural characters, together they fight against the supernatural demons that turn up throughout the series.

2- Pretty Little Liars
Pretty Little Liars can be found on Netflix, the show follows a group of friends who continue to be anonymously attacked, mentally and physically by one of their other friends murderers whilst trying to solve who 'A' is.

3- F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
I'm sure I have no reason to even attempt to explain the TV show FRIENDS as, lets be honest...who hasn't seen at least 1 episode!?! But, just incase...the hilarious sitcom is a show following a group of friends living in Manhattan.

4- Say Yes To The Dress/I Found The Gown
Who doesn't love a show about women on the hunt for their dream wedding dress? Both of these shows are shown on TLC...to be honest any wedding trash is right up my street...I think I am secretly destined to be a wedding planner.

5- Catfish: The TV Show
A show where Nev and Max (the hosts) help find out who the person in question is talking to, whether it is who they think they were talking to or whether it was a complete lie.

6- Cake Boss
Another piece of reality trash, documenting some of the stories and cake orders that come through the bakery. (That was a terrible description but I recommend that you watch an episode and the end results of the cakes are absolutely incredible).

So those are some of my favourites, I would love to know what yours are as I am always looking for something new to indulge in!
